We still have a toddler's theme park called Gulliver's World, where the rides are made of wood and there are a lot of unconvincing fibreglass dinosaurs. Looks like something from the 1920's but it's really cool in a "I could build this in my shed" way. I'm not impessed by big budget animatronics and CGI anymore, I prefer to see oldfashioned craftsmanship, especially when I don't have to pay a lot to see it. I like it when someone builds a wooden fort in a field and calls that a theme park.
I've thought about doing some pictures of ghosts in houses, but haven't tried it yet. I think it's a really good idea, if it's done right, so thanks for the suggestion. Anyway, have to go now, as some guy is hassling me for a commission job, and I'm not happy about that because the last customer hasn't even tried to pay me yet.
Blackpool is place that got stuck in time, back in the 1960's. It still has the same type of attractions and shows that it did then, still sells the same tacky souvenirs, and it's like a big seaside museum. And that's the beauty of it. It's such a mad place, there is a giant aquarium located on the floor above millions of pounds worth of arcade equipment and a TV museum full of irreplaceable props. Every time a fishtank leaks, the equipment downstrairs is ruined! Completely mad, but it's a holiday institution over here.
If the council there gives permission for the casinos to move in- that's the end of that. Generally, English people love this type of crap, and arn't used to a Las Vegas lifestye.
I hope they dont give permission!
