This was this-week's "homework," to do something with the TARDIS in it.
Oils, applied by brush, knife, cocktail-stick and credit card. The turquoise tones in the vortex effect have been killed by the photo and look more like oily stains, which aren't on the painting. If I can get a better copy I'll submit it.

Oh no!!! A bunch of ten-years-olds just wandered in, saw this, and started going "ooh great, will ya paint me one, will ya, will ya, eh, eh?" etc.

Life so sucks. I'm building a real TARDIS, just to get away from other people's kids.

NEWSFLASH! I've learned something about oils. The staining in the corners of this painting which wasn't apparent at first, but is glaringly obvious now that it's dry, is due to a too thin application of paint to the canvas, allowing the ocre undepainting to show through. I can cure it by re-touching those areas, at the risk of cocking the whole vortex effect up. It's a hard decision but I may have to.
It's a cruel, cruel world.

That's the plan. When I got to the first class I knew half of the people there from other classes, and there were groans all round. I can't help it.

Thanks man. I'll own up and admit to "borrowing" the vortex from an old postcard I have, but that shows either a side or rear view of the TARDIS, so I did mine as a front view so as not to rip it off entirely.
The BBC would still have my gallery pulled, and burn me at the stake for submitting this however I did it. The BBC are plain evil, but evil must be challenged.
