I don't make a habit of showcasing other people's work, but there are two people to whom I owe a huge debt of thanks and recognition for producing the items shown:
Dennis Lees, genius builder of working model engines, for the stainless steel and brass replica of the original "sonic screwdriver."
Florrie Yates for her infinite patience in knitting the five metres long scarf.
not a bad sonic. i'm working on getting a stainless steel one for myself as well. So far i got a brass one and an aluminum one. I love the scarf and the hat is a GREAT find.
I envy you.. though my own patience is being tested by knitting a scarf too. It's a big under-taking. so kudos to Ms. Yates. The screwdriver also looks fantastic.
Wow! *wants* It looks amazing! Although if you went round with it (not dressed as The Doctor) people may think it abit odd and random.... I want the scarf!
I've worn it twice in public! Once at the Dr.Who museum in Llangollen on a week when Tom Baker (brilliant bloke) was visiting (NERD ALERT), and once in college just to get noticed, for whatever reason. Sadly, my Mum-in-law who knitted the scarf for me passed away, and I don't know anyone else who would go to the trouble of knitting another. This one has to be buried in mothballs and really well sealed.
I'm not a real nerd, just like to own replica props and stuff to make real nerds jealous.
On a more serious note, those are very amazing Tom Baker (4th Dr)replicas.
I seriously want!
that is awesome
